The following commandments from the Holy Bible describe the relationship that God requires believers to have in relation to secular governments or those who do not treat the Bible as a law book (Form #13.001) and therefore are not Christ followers.
“I [God] brought you up from Egypt [government slavery to a civil ruler who claimed to be a deity] and brought you to the land of which I swore to your fathers; and I said, ‘I will never break My covenant with you. And you shall make no covenant [contract or franchise or agreement of ANY kind] with the inhabitants of this [corrupt pagan] land; you shall tear down their [man/government worshipping socialist] altars.‘ But you have not obeyed Me. Why have you done this?
“Therefore I also said, ‘I will not drive them out before you; but they will become as thorns [terrorists and persecutors] in your side and their gods will be a snare [slavery!] to you.'”
So it was, when the Angel of the LORD spoke these words to all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voices and wept.

“Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend [“citizen”, “resident”, “taxpayer”, “inhabitant”, or “subject” under a king or political ruler] of the world [or any man-made kingdom other than God’s Kingdom] makes himself an enemy of God. “

“You shall make no covenant [contract or franchise] with them [foreigners, pagans], nor with their [pagan government] gods [laws or judges]. They shall not dwell in your land [and you shall not dwell in theirs by becoming a “resident” in the process of contracting with them], lest they make you sin against Me [God]. For if you serve their gods [under contract or agreement or franchise], it will surely be a snare to you.”

“Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel [the priest in a Theocracy] at Ramah, and said to him, ‘Look, you [the priest within a theocracy] are old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now make us a king [or political ruler] to judge us like all the nations [and be OVER them]’.
“But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, ‘Give us a king [or political ruler] to judge us.’ So Samuel prayed to the Lord. And the Lord said to Samuel, ‘Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have rejected Me [God], that I should not reign over them. According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt, even to this day—with which they have forsaken Me [God as their ONLY King, Lawgiver, and Judge] and served other gods—so they are doing to you also [government or political rulers becoming the object of idolatry].”

“Shall the throne of iniquity [the U.S. Congress and the federal judiciary], which devises evil by [obfuscating the] law [to expand their jurisdiction and consolidate all economic power in their hands by taking it away from the states], have fellowship with You? They gather together against the life of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood [of “nontaxpayers” and persons outside their jurisdiction, which is an act of extortion and racketeering]. But the Lord has been my defense, and my God the rock of my refuge. He has brought on them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; the Lord our God [and those who obey Him and His word] shall cut them off [from power and from receiving illegal bribes cleverly disguised by an obfuscated law as legitimate “taxes“].”

And you shall be my sons and daughters,
Says the Lord Almighty.”

The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath [SOVEREIGN!]; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other [government/political] gods to serve them.

On the opening page of this site, we feature the following quote about HOW Christ followers must approach every government in the context of public/government property such as “benefits” and privileges. The U.S. Supreme Court calls such property “publici juris”:
People of all races, genders, political beliefs, sexual orientations, and nearly all religions are welcome here. All are treated equally under REAL “law”. The only way to remain truly free and equal under the civil law is to avoid seeking government civil services, benefits, property, special or civil status, exemptions, privileges, or special treatment. All such pursuits of government services or property require individual and lawful consent to a franchise and the surrender of inalienable constitutional rights AND EQUALITY in the process, and should therefore be AVOIDED. The rights and equality given up are the “cost” of procuring the “benefit” or property from the government, in fact. Nothing in life is truly “free”. Anyone who claims that such “benefits” or property should be free and cost them nothing is a thief who wants to use the government as a means to STEAL on his or her behalf. All just rights spring from responsibilities/obligations under the laws of a higher power. If that higher power is God, you can be truly and objectively free. If it is government, you are guaranteed to be a slave because they can lawfully set the cost of their property as high as they want as a Merchant under the U.C.C. If you want it really bad from people with a monopoly, then you will get it REALLY bad. Bend over. There are NO constitutional limits on the price government can charge for their monopoly services or property. Those who want no responsibilities can have no real/PRIVATE rights, but only privileges dispensed to wards of the state which are disguised to LOOK like unalienable rights. Obligations and rights are two sides of the same coin, just like self-ownership and personal responsibility. For the biblical version of this paragraph, read 1 Sam. 8:10-22. PUBLIC property therefore operates as the legal and moral equivalent of a Trojan Horse that DESTROYS private property, private rights, freedom, and autonomy. Beware of Trojans bearing GOVERNMENT gifts! Property and rules always go together. His is the meaning of the phrase “strings attached”. See Article 4, Section 3, Clause 2 of the Constitution as proof that property and rules or laws always go together. ALL of what government does CIVILLY is a regulation of government/PUBLIC property.
The following scripture proves that we must REJECT any and all government “benefits” and privileges as indicated above, which collectively are called PUBLIC property or “publici juris”. This is ESPECIALLY if the money used to pay for them is STOLEN against the consent of the owner or if the result is slavery or human trafficking as in the case of the modern income tax:
Abram and Melchizedek
18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. 19 And he blessed him and said:
“Blessed be Abram of God Most High,
Possessor [OWNER] of heaven and earth;
20 And blessed be God Most High,
Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.”And he gave him a tithe of all.
21 Now the king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give me the persons [as SLAVES], and take the goods for yourself.”
22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have raised my hand to the Lord, God Most High, the Possessor [OWNER] of heaven and earth, 23 that I will take nothing, from a thread to a sandal strap, and that I will not take anything that is yours, lest you should say, ‘I have made Abram rich’— 24 except only what the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who went with me: Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion.”

Notice in the above that Abram (later called Abraham in the Bible and the father of many nations) acknowledged GOD as the owner of the entire Heaven and Earth, and the ONLY object of his allegiance and obedience. In essence he was saying he HAD no allegiance to the King of Sodom and that the King was taxing and controlling property STOLEN from God. He refused to accept the booty of war or the making of the victims of war into slaves in exchange for receiving the PLUNDER of war. And Sodom was a place filled with sexual immorality that God would later DESTROY with a huge meteorite that incinerated the entire city because of its iniquity. See Genesis 19.
Sodom is a metaphor for the sinfulness and immorality of mankind and a metaphor for the nature of government. We want our whole military filled with sodomites. The only way to break the bondage to sin that Sodom represents is to lift your hand to the most high God, never have conflicting allegiances, and refuse the contracts and franchise of all governments, of which Sodom was merely an example. In Revelation 8 God called the government of Jerusalem Sodom. Washington, D.C. is the modern Sodom. See also Rev. 11.
In modern times, the war of the King of Sodom is a war against PRIVATE property and PRIVATE rights in direct violation of the constitution. That WAR is described in:
