My Prayer and Its Answer

One of my life prayers is:

“Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips . .. ”
[Ps 120:2]

The Lord’s answer came in the form of sending me a steady stream of liars, cheats, con artists, deceivers, tricksters, and equivocators mostly from the government and the legal profession so I could get it through my thick head that:

“cursed is the man that trusteth in man . . . . because the heart is deceitful above all things”
[Jer. 17]
