Bishop Barron describes the Kingship of Jesus over us and our respective Kingship over this world as sovereigns.  He essentially explains the application of the following passages to ordinary life:

“You [Jesus] are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us [Christians] kings and priests [SOVEREIGNS!] to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.”

^” But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness [Form #05.014]  into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God [sovereignty fellowship], who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.”
[1 Peter 2:9, Bible, NKJV]

What he describes as the “New Jerusalem” is God’s law order throughout the entire world, not some new or restored political state of Israel, as the following Sermon proves:

The reader should note that as we point out at the beginning of the opening page of our website, we are a non-denominational Christian ministry.  We are not Catholic, do not believe in Catholic cannon or any of the books the Catholics added to the Bible.   We instead adhere strictly to the word/law of God as codified by the Nicaean creed.  However, there are many people in the Catholic Church who need to hear and learn and read our materials so it is our duty to provide a way to reach these people, and to explain our approach within the context of what and who they are familiar with.  This video provides a starting point for the application of our teachings to those already in the Catholic faith.

With all that said, Friar Robert Barron’s comments beg the following question, which you will probably never hear an answer to from the Catholic clergy for hopefully obvious reasons:

“If we are truly kings or princes in God’s kingdom, why in deed do we have to defer to a pope or bishop or friar in the Catholic clerical hierarchy?  Didn’t Jesus say that those who desire to greatest among you must serve from BELOW, not rule from ABOVE?

“You know that the rulers of the Gentiles [unbelievers] lord it over them [govern from ABOVE as pagan idols] , and those who are great exercise authority over them [supernatural powers that are the object of idol worship]. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant [serve the sovereign people from BELOW rather than rule from above]. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave—just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
[Matt. 20:25-28, Bible, NKJV]”

It should be noted that the ONLY person mentioned in the Bible who wanted to rule from above was Satan when he tried to tempt Jesus on the mountaintop in Matt. 4:9.  Isn’t it therefore SATANIC to rule from above, as all secular political rulers seek to do and as Satan and the Catholic popes and bishops try to do?”
